Frequently Asked Questions

Does cropping an image stretch it?
No. Cropping is physically cutting away pixels from the edges of your image. It does not stretch or squish the content inside the box. If you need to change physical resolution width/height after cropping, check out our Image Resizer tool.
How do I get a transparent background on circle/rounded crops?
To ensure the corners cut away by a circular or rounded shape remain transparent, make sure you select PNG or WebP from the Output Format dropdown. JPEGs do not support transparency and will fill the clipped corners with solid white.
How does Batch Center Cropping work?
When you select an aspect ratio (like 1:1) and click the batch crop button, the algorithm calculates the maximum possible square in the dead-center of every image in your queue, applies any shape masking you've chosen, cuts away the edges, and saves them all into a ZIP file. It's excellent for generating uniform thumbnails quickly.
