Does rotating an image reduce its quality?
If you export as a PNG, the rotation is 100% lossless. If you export as a JPEG, the image must be re-compressed by your browser's engine. We set the export quality to maximum (95%) to ensure there is virtually zero perceptible loss in quality.
What happens to transparent backgrounds if I rotate a PNG?
If you keep the output format as PNG or WebP, transparency is fully preserved! However, if you rotate a custom angle (which creates blank corners) and export as a JPEG, our tool will automatically fill the empty space with a clean white background.
